Atmos Energy is hoping to have the line repaired within the hour. After the line is replaced they will need to purge the system which will take a couple of hours. Crews will have to turn off each individual meter. After the system is purged, they will have to go house to house and will need to make contact with someone at the home (someone over 18) in order to turn the meter back on. And they will relight pilots as necessary. They may not be able to get to every home this evening but will continue restoring service tomorrow. If you are available to have your service restored tonight, please turn on your porch light so the crews will know someone is available. If they are unable to contact anyone at a home tonight or tomorrow, they will leave a door hanger with contact info so that you can make an appointment for them to come restore your service.
